Listening to America Platform Meeting

The SC Democratic Party's Platform Hearing will be on Saturday, July 26, beginning at 10 a.m. in the auditorium of the University of South Carolina School of Law. Testimony from organizations and individual Democrats will be taken.
This testimony will be submitted to the Platform Committee of the Democratic National Convention, which will be drafting the 2008 Democratic Platform. The Platform Committee will meet in Pittsburgh on August 9 and at that time will consider testimony gathered at hearings around the country.
Testimony will be limited to 5 minutes per participant. Organizations may be represented by only one speaker. Speakers will be grouped by issue.
Participants must submit 3 copies of a one page summary of their remarks following their testimony. An electronic copy of this summary should be emailed to kpeterson@scdp.org no later than Monday, July 28.
