SDCP Chair Congratulates Democratic Primary Winners

Columbia, SC- South Carolina Democratic Party Chair Carol Fowler released the following statement today about the winners of the June 10 Democratic primary election.
"I want to congratulate all of the winners of yesterday's Democratic primaries. These candidates have worked hard over the last few months and will continue to work diligently to defeat their Republican challengers in the fall," said Fowler. "South Carolina voters are ready for change, and Republicans shouldn't underestimate either the strength of that feeling or the drive of our Democratic candidates to provide that change.
"SC voters have lived with Republican leadership for a good while. And frankly, most of these voters aren't impressed by the high gas prices and lagging economy their leadership has produced. That's part of the reason South Carolinians are looking very favorably at the whole Democratic ticket."
