SCDP Recognizes McNair

Columbia, SC- Former South Carolina Gov. Robert McNair was laid to rest today. Although he's no longer with us, his memory will continue to live on at the South Carolina Democratic Party.
"When I reflect on Robert McNair's life two words come to my mind: innovation and courage. With courage, he led our state through turbulent times without conforming to the intolerant attitude shared many of his colleagues. He was also an innovative leader with a unique vision for our state," said SCDP Chair Carol Fowler.
"Governor McNair will truly be missed by South Carolina Democrats. He exemplified everything a governor and Democrat should be."
